A Family Trip to the Jazz Game

Brian is playing Junior Jazz this year and part of the package is a ticket to a Jazz game.  We were able to pick up extra tickets for a really good deal, so we planned a family trip to the Jazz game.  We had a great time, and I am grateful for the opportunity to get out for such fun family events.  I had a great time getting out of Tremonton and having my first opportunity to play with my camera some more.  So 455 shots later here are a couple I wanted to blog with.

(Below:  We showed up early so we wouldn’t have to fight the crowds, we just walked over from the Gateway Mall.  I think there was only about 6 more rows to the top of the arena, but Brian is still happy to be in one of his favorite places on earth)

(Below: Kallie didn’t do as well as Brian waiting for the game, but she sure was happy to have some cotton candy)

(Below: Brian’s favorite Jazz player (and his dad’s) Deron Williams, shoots a foul shot, with the recent politics of the Jazz I was worried about our favorite.  Call me a sucker but I believe it when Deron says we are crazy to think anyone could push Jerry Sloan out of the organization other than Jerry.)

(Below: I have been a Jazz fan for my entire life.  Frank Layden was the coach when I was born, but I don’t remember him as the coach of the Jazz.  I remember him more for the guy that lost a lot of weight than the coach of the Jazz.  Jerry Sloan has been the coach that I grew up with.  I was glad to have the chance to witness one of his last games.)

(Below: I love this shot, Al Jefferson lays it all on the line for a layup.  I love the effort)

(Below: Paul Milsap is another of Brian’s favorites, he has sure played well this year)

(Below: Who knew there were 2 ??  I didn’t)

It was great to spend time as a family.  The Jazz lost the game, but we still had a great time.  It is a historic season for Utah Jazz fans, and I am spoiled to have been too two games this year.

  1. We loooved our Jazz game to, thanks you you! Did you hear the interview with Jerry where he said he was getting the "we're going to fire you" vibe and so he quit before they could fire him. I'm so fired up at the entire Jazz organization right now...Deron (used to be my absolute favorite too) included. Anyways, at our game them were handing out big Jazz flags. I was thinking maybe that's something Brian might like. What do you think?
