Taking Advantage – Family Pictures

While I was borrowing Adam’s camera we decided to take some pictures of the family.  So as soon as church got out, we loaded into the car and went to some spots that we thought might take some good pictures.  Natalie gets 100% credit for the posing of the pictures.  I am not going to post comments for each picture, but would love any feedback on them, how to do better, what you like, ect.  Here goes nothing.

One day when I have a camera of my own, these are the kind of pictures I would love to take professionally or for family members.

  1. I read all three posts. :) Up until now I haven't been checking blogs very well because we had a nice long 1 week bout with the stomach flu. Good times. It's amazing what you can do with a good camera. Such good pictures. I'm excited for you to learn so you can take us some family pictures some time. My favorite of your kids is the one of Kallie with the railroad tracks. I have always loved a blurred background, but then the person is crisp and clear. I don't know how you do it, but I love it. I loved all your football shots too. Brian is a stud. Someday I would love to be able to see him play. With his passion for BYU football, I'm sure that help drives him when he plays. As for BYU, it was a blast. I was really glad Nat and Kallie could come for pizza.

I think you've got some natural talent for photography and was really suprised what your combination of talent and a good camera could do. Hope you can get enough for yours soon.

  3. I'm with Heather on Kallie's best photo. I like the last one of Brian best. He isn't looking quite so fake. He really needs some smile lessons. I might just have to fly there and poke that boy to make him really smile. Make sure and find me a nice long wiggly stick.
